Denmark’s Maersk says sells last logistics assets in Russia

MOSCOW, Feb 20 (PRIME) -- Denmark’s logistics company A.P. Moller-Maersk has sold two logistics sites in Russia’s cities of St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk, the company said in a statement on Monday.

“A.P. Moller-Maersk has entered into an agreement to divest its logistics sites in St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk to IG Finance Development Limited. Maersk divesting the two sites is a consequence of the company’s decision made in March 2022 to discontinue activities in Russia,” Maersk said.

The deal, which obtained the needed regulatory approvals in the E.U. and Russia, is effective as of February 17.

IG Finance Development Limited made an agreement with Arosa, a large food importer in Russia, to operate the sites, Maersk said.
